It is funny that when spring starts to show itself and the weather gets to 50 degrees, I pull out my shorts and sandals and want to spend as much time as I can in the sun and outdoors. I do know that 50 degrees is not that warm, but when you have not had that kind of weather for sometime, it feels glorious and wonderful on the skin and to your soul.

This past weekend we finally had blue skies and some warmish weather. I have been itching to get out and hike. Unfortunately, just because it is warm for a day or two, does not mean that the snow will be melted in the mountains. There is a hike that I want to do to an overlook, but it just would not have worked this weekend with snow still on the ground. Instead, we took a stroll along the Provo River Parkway Trail. It did not satisfy the need for a long hike in nature, but it provided a temporary fix to my outdoor adventure needs.

What is nice about this trail, is that it is completely paved and it goes on for miles and you can turn around whenever you want. This trail is wheelchair accessible and since it goes along the river it has some amazing views, one of which is Bridal Veil Falls.

Our other adventure this week was trying out a new local restaurant in town, Totonacos. I don’t mean to make it a theme of Mexican food, it just happened they opened shop in town. In reality, I like all food. I mean, I really like food. Jared thought that the burrito was the best he has ever had. I had the taco salad and I loved it. It was not as heavy as some taco salads can be, it was just right. If you are ever in Spanish Fork, Utah, you need to stop here and support this little husband and wife run restaurant. The food and service are great!
